WOMEN'S SOCCER: FULLERTON TIES CYPRESS

After a demoralizing 7-0 loss to Santiago Canyon last Friday, the Hornets took on Cypress College on the road Tuesday and fought back hard finishing the game with a 1-1 tie.

After falling to the Chargers 3-1 at home back on September 16th, out-gunned Fullerton nearly beat the OEC undefeated Chargers (5-0-4).

The first goal of the game did not happen until the 69th minute in the second half. Julissa Zuniga punched in an unassisted shot to the back of the net taking some of the wind out of the Hornet's sails.

Amalia Serna gave FC new hope when she broke free and took the ball up the right side and delivered it to Tatsiana Lotscutoff who drilled the ball past the Cypress goalie to tie the game up for good.

Fullerton goalie Marla Debarros had a great day in the box with 5 saves with 1 goal against.

Up Next: The Hornets (2-9-2 overall, 7-0-3 OEC) will host Irvine Valley College this Friday, October 21st at 3:00 pm.
