WOMEN'S SOCCER: FC OUTLASTS GRIFFINS

The Hornets took a trip down south to the greater San Diego area on Tuesday afternoon to play Grossmont College pulling off a 3-2 victory.

Fullerton knocked in the first goal of the game at an early 8-minute mark. Brianna Remedios drove the ball down and scored the unassisted shot giving FC a 1-0 lead that went into the second half.

FC went up 2-0 in the 51st minute when Brooke Morris took the assist from Remedios and punched it into the back of the net. Four minutes later, Sophia Arrieta scored another goal for the Hornets on a place kick.

Grossmont managed two goals in the 59th minute and in the 87th minute, but FC had the game under control walking away with their third victory in four games.

FC goalie Savannah Dyer had two saves while allowing a goal in 85 minutes of play.

Up Next: FC (3-1 overall) will open Orange Empire Conference-play at Golden West College this Friday, September 15th. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
