WOMEN'S SOCCER: HORNETS STOP THE LASERS

In an Orange Empire Conference matchup, the FC women's soccer team knocked off Irvine Valley 2-1 on the road on Tuesday.

Once again, the score was tied at the end of the first half, and then Hornet's legs woke up scoring two unassisted goals within five minutes of each other in the second half.

Juliet Mata locked down the first goal in the 57th minute and Brooke Morris came right after in the 62nd minute for FC's two scores.

IVC's Jade Stewart scored a late 82nd minute goal that put a dent in Fullerton's lead, but it would not be enough as the Hornet defense played strong enough to secure the victory.

FC keeper Savannah Dyer had 5 saves with a goal against in 90 minutes.

Up Next: The Hornets (5-1 overall, 2-0 OEC) will play host to Norco College this Friday, September 22nd. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
