WOMEN'S SOCCER: FULLERTON LOCKS HORNS WITH OCC

The Hornets took a trip south to Orange Coast College on Tuesday for an OEC challenge and walked away with a 1-1 tie.

The Pirates (2-0-2 OEC) scored the game's first goal in the 52nd minute on a shot by Lupe Rodriguez (assist by Aubrey Izabal).

Soon after, from the kickoff, the Hornets turned it up a notch in the 53rd minute when Marriah Gishwiller took the ball the length of the field and kicked it into the middle where it bounced off of Brianna Remedios and to Brooke Morris. From there, Morris blasted the ball into net tying the game up.

Morris had chance to win the game in the final minutes of the game when she took a close left-footed shot, but it was twarted by by OCC goalie Alison Marlow.

It was a busy game that featured 18 shots (8 FC, 10 OCC) as both teams remain undefeated in the Orange Empire Conference.

FC goalie Savannah Dyer had 5 saves in 90 minutes.

Up Next: Fullerton (6-1-1 overall, 2-0-2 OEC) will host Saddleback College this Friday, September 29th at 3:00 pm. Come on out and cheer for your Hornets!
