The Hornets pulled off a 1-0 home-win over Golden West College on Tuesday sweeping the Rustlers in the Orange Empire Conference series.
The win keeps Fullerton (3rd place) in the hunt in for a playoff spot in a very competitive conference at 5-1-3. The Rustler loss lands them in 8th place out of nine teams at 2-8.
The game's only goal came in the 24th minute when Brianna Remedios took the ball from a GWC player and drove down the middle of the field. She then aired the ball out over the goalkeeper's head for the score.
FC goalie Savannah Dyer was solid in the box with 3 saves in 90 minutes.
Up Next: The Hornets (8-2-3 overall, 5-1-3 OEC) will host Irvine Valley College this Friday, October 20th for another OEC match-up. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
