WOMEN'S SOCCER: HORNETS BLANK DONS

Fullerton rose to the occasion at home last Friday beating Orange Empire Conference rival Santa Ana College 4-0.

The win was a big one as it lifted the Hornets (8-3-3) back into the third place spot over Orange Coast (8-4-2) in the Orange Empire Conference. Cypress is in second at 9-2-3 and Santiago Canyon is in first at 13-1-1. The loss sends Santa Ana down to sixth place.

FC scored one of their earliest goals of the season at just under two minutes into the game. The ball bounced off of a few players after a corner kick and Alexandra Lopez took advantage popping the ball into the back of the net.

Brooke Morris scored after taking a pass from Sindy Villa in the 40th minute. She went on to score her second goal of the game in the 70th minute with the assist coming from Alyssa Madrigal.

Brianna Remedios added the icing to the cake scoring a goal in the 80th minute off of an assist by Brooke Morris.

Hornet goalie Savannah Dyer added to her shutout-win collection at 7. She had 3 saves in 90 minutes of play.

Up Next: The Hornets (11-4-3 overall, 8-3-3 OEC) will play at first place Santiago Canyon College on Tuesday, November 7th @ 3:00 pm.
