WOMEN'S SOCCER: SHUTOUT WIN

The FC women's soccer team hosted Golden West College on Tuesday and kept the Rustlers scoreless with a 1-0 win.

The win puts Fullerton in a tie for second place with Golden West in the Orange Empire Conference. Both teams have an OEC record of 5-2-1. Overall, Fullerton is 8-3-1, while GWC is 8-3-2. Santiago Canyon sits in first place all alone with an undefeated record of 11-0 overall.

The Hornets knocked in the only goal of the game at the 7:57 mark when Brianna Remedios passed the ball over to Ashley Slouka, who tapped the ball past the Rustler's goalkeeper.

For the remainder of the game, FC used their speed to keep the ball on GWC's end of the field. The Hornets had a few big of chances to score a few more goals but the lone goal is all they needed for the win.

FC goalkeeper Savannah Dyer played well earning the shutout-win with 6 saves in 90 minutes.
