WOMEN'S SOCCER: ALL-ORANGE EMPIRE CONFERENCE
The All-OEC team was announced on Tuesday with six Hornets earning honors.
First team honors were given to Brianna Remedios, Daniela Perez, and Regina Sanchez-Molina.
A second team All-OEC selection last season, sophomore Brianna Remedios was tabbed as a first teamer in 2018 with 5 goals scored and led the team in assists with 6. A strong freshman midfielder, Perez was an easy choice in making the team, as well as freshman Sanchez-Molina, who tallied 3 goals on the season.
Getting the nod for the second team All-OEC squad were Savannah Dyer, Taylor Hobbs, and Kaelah Basurto.
Dyer, a sophomore goalie, was solid in the box with 40 saves and 5 shutout wins. Freshman Taylor Hobbs was the team's goal leader with 8. She also had 4 assists. Basurto, a freshman defender, played a big role in the Hornet's success with 10 shutouts.
Up Next: The No. 11 seeded Hornets (12-4-4 overall, 9-3-4 OEC) will play at No. 6 Santa Monica College in round one of the Southern California Regionals this Saturday, November 17th at 4:00 pm.
