WOMEN'S SOCCER: ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL SEASON

The No. 11 FC women's soccer team ended their season in the first round of the Southern California Regionals on Saturday against No. 6 Santa Monica College 3-1.

The Hornets did not waste any time scoring the first goal of the game 17 seconds into it on a shot by Taylor Hobbs. The assist was by Brianna Remedios

Grabbing the early lead did not help FC as the Corsairs responded with 3 unanswered goals to win the match.

Six minutes after FC's score, Santa Monica evened it up on a goal by Filippa Struxsjo. Two minutes later, Ceirra Little put the Corsairs up 2-1. Dayli Ramos sealed the game in the 80th minute knocking the Hornets out of post-season-play.

"Although we came up short, I was very pleased with our effort. I thought that our team played with heart and did their best to execute the plan", Hornet Head Coach Pam Lewin.

It was another exciting season for the Hornets as they placed 2nd overall in the Orange Empire Conference with an overall record of 12-5-4.
