The Hornets hosted Orange Coast College on Tuesday afternoon for their first Orange Empire Conference game of the season and brought down the Pirates 3-1.
Fullerton's Ashley Slouka put the first goal up on the board in the 47th minute with Victoria Arrieta chipping in with the assist.
Regina Sanchez-Molina put the Hornets up 2-0 in the 56th minute on a solo shot that whipped past the goalie.
Orange Coast got into the mix scoring on a penalty kick by Lynette Romero at 60-minute mark.
Fullerton put the game away six minutes later with the familiar combination of Arrieta to Slouka.
FC freshman goalie had another strong outing in the box with 4 saves. In four games played this season, Balos has allowed 2 goals, had 14 saves, and was the winning goalie on record.
Up Next: Fullerton (6-1 overall, 1-0 conference) will continue conference-play this Friday, October 4th when they play at Irivne Valley College. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
