HORNETS SHUTOUT SANTA ANA

On Tuesday, the Hornets cashed in their winning ticket at home against Orange Empire Conference rival Santa Ana College 3-0.

It has not been an easy season for Fullerton as the team has been playing short-handed with only 11 players (sometimes 10). Today, FC earned its first win of the season beginning with 11 but finished with 10 due to an injury.

The Hornets knocked in their first goal in the 28th minute of the game on a shot by Danielle Narmi after taking the feed from Priscilla Botelo. Botelo got in on the action scoring an unassisted goal that ricocheted off the crossbar in the 40th minute handing FC a 2-0 lead by halftime.

In the second half, Fullerton did a great job of keeping Santa Ana off balance, while scoring another goal to seal the game. Danielle Narmi kicked in a solo shot from a rebound for her 4th goal of the season.

Up Next: The Hornets (1-8-2 overall, 1-3-1 OEC) will travel to Huntington Beach to take on Golden West College this Friday, October 18th for an OEC match. Game time is at 1:00 pm.
