WOMENS TENNIS: ACES HIGH

In an Orange Empire Conference match, the Lady Hornets won Tuesday's game against district-rival Cypress College 6-3.

In doubles play, Kelsi Salazar and Kim La 8-2 defeated Candace Ngai and Lisa Wood 8-2 to even up the overall match score 1-1. Lael Cardinal and Celeste Esquivel won their set by default giving Fullerton the lead 2-1.

In singles play, Delaney Ashe won against Shannon Beaver of Cypress College 6-2, 6-3. Celeste Esquivel secured the win defeating Lisa Wood in a strong defensive game 6-1, 6-1. Lael Cardinal extended the Hornets lead due to a default win. Moreover, Kim La won her match by default.

Up Next: The Lady Hornets (6-3 overall) will visit Saddleback College on Thursday, March 1. The match will start at 2:00 pm. On Tuesday, March 6 the lady Hornets will host Irvine Valley College. The game is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm.
