WOMEN’S TENNIS: HORNETS DEFEAT DISTRICT RIVAL
Fullerton snapped a five-game losing streak on Thursday knocking off Cypress College on the road 6-3.
In doubles play, Fullerton took two out of the three matches. Kim La and Kelsi Salazar-Sarti played a great defense game winning 8-0. FC won the third doubles match via default.
In singles play, FC lost the first single match but came back winning match 2,4,5,6. Kelsi Salazar-Sarti continued with her defensive performance and won 6-2, 6-0. Mayumi Okubo played well and won 6-1, 6-0. Kim La won her match via default. Lael Cardinal won the clincher to give the Hornets the victory over district rival Cypress.
Up Next: FC (7-8 overall, 2-5 OEC) will play a non-conference game at Cerritos College on Tuesday, March 20th at 2:00 pm.
