WOMEN'S TENNIS: HORNETS KEEP ON MOVING

Fullerton dropped their first match of the season on Thursday at conference rival Irvine Valley College 6-3. On Friday, FC picked it back up beating Glendale College at home 6-3 in a non-conference match.

Irvine Valley swept FC in doubles, but Yu Seung Suh (6-2, 6-3), Ashley Castro (1-6, 6-1, 10-6), Savanna Schreiner-Vanhoutte (6-1, 6-3) were all winners in singles-play.

In doubles-play against Glendale, Fullerton swept all three matches. Yu Seung Suh/Alexus Lombera (8-2), Savanna Schreiner-Vanhoutte/Ashley Castro (8-2), and Janet Shiau/Kim La (8-2) all contributed to the sweep.

In singles, No. 1 player Yu Seung Suh whipped through her opponent 6-0, 6-0 and No. 2 Alexus Lombera sealed the match for the Hornets defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-1. Other winners included Ashley Castro (6-2, 6-2), Schreiner-Vanhoutte (7-5, 6-3), Allie Van (6-2, 6-3), and Kim La (6-2, 6-0).

Up Next: FC (8-1 overall, 2-1 OEC) will play a conference match at home against undefeated Orange Coast College on Tuesday, March 5th at 2:00 pm.
