WOMEN'S TENNIS: SOPHOMORE DAY
It was the final home game for sophomore Kim La on Tuesday, and the Hornets lost in a tough battle with Orange Empire Conference rival Irvine Valley College 5-4.
It was sophomore day for Kim La who was honored for her hard work and dedication the past two years by the FC coaching staff before the matches began.
Fullerton managed to take two out three in doubles with wins coming from Ashley Castro / Savanna Schreiner-Vanhoutte (9-8, 7-4), and Kim La / Janet Shiau (8-4).
Singles-play went down to the wire with Hornet No. 1 Yu Seung Suh falling in a contentious match (5-7, 6-0, 3-6). Ashley Castro picked up a win by default and Savanna Schreiner-Vanhoutte pulled off a 6-3, 6-2 victory.
Up Next: Fullerton will play in the SoCal on Tuesday, April 9th and then the Orange Empire Conference Tournament April 11-13.
