WOMEN'S TENNIS: SUH TABBED ITA ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Freshman standout Yu Seung Suh was honored at the annual ITA / CCCAA Awards in Ojai on Wednesday night receiving the "Rookie of the Year" award.

Suh will be competing in singles and doubles play this weekend at the CCCAA State Championship Tournaments this weekend (April 24-28).

Competing in doubles for FC will be the team of Kim La and Janet Shiau along with Suh and Alexus Lombera.

Also representing the Hornets are Ashley Castro and Savanna Schreiner-Vanhoutte.

About the Rookie of the Year Award

A freshman who has had the most outstanding first year in college tennis.
Expected to be ranked nationally in the top fifty (50) and in the top twenty (20) in the final singles regional rankings.
Players should be ranked nationally; if the region does not have a candidate who has achieved a national ranking, must be ranked regionally.
Has contributed to his/her teams in the areas of sportsmanship and leadership.
National awards are selected by the national award committee and regional awards are selected by the regional award committee.
