WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD: HORNETS END SEASON AT SOCAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Southern California Track and Field Regional Championships were held this past Saturday at Cerritos College.
Freshman Marianne Gourd competed in the shot put event in the afternoon and finished in 10th place with a throw of 36' 3.5". Her throw was a few inches off her personal best for the season. Gourd came into the season setting goals for herself, and got the most out of her freshman year.
"Marianne made many strides this year, and I'm happy for how far she competed this year. She will definitely be a thrower to watch out for next year", Hornet Head Coach Gina Bevec.
The Lady Hornets have officially ended their season and with this years talent mixed in with the committed recruits coming in next year we will see a stronger team.
