WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD: HORNETS TUNE IT UP

The Lady Hornets competed at Cerritos College in the Cerritos Invitational on Friday, April 13, 2018 for a tune up meet before their conference championships this week.

Sophomore, Jordyn Reese gave herself a great race in the 100 meters dashing to the line in 12.90 seconds. Her sister, Madison Reese, was following behind her with a time of 13.26. 

Another sophomore, Shyleen Ramos ran her best 400-meter race of the season knocking off two seconds with a time of 1:07.80.

On the inside of the track, Kim Mataia threw an 11-foot PR performance in the hammer with a launch of 118' 5". 

Freshman, Philliz Tu'avao tossed her hammer 105' 1" for her improvement in the same event. 

Up Next: The Hornet throwers are gearing up perfecting their technique for big throws to come this week at the Orange Empire Conference Prelims on Friday, April 20th at Riverside City College.
