WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD: STATE BOUND
Two Hornets will be competing in the State Championships at the College of San Mateo this weekend (May 17-18).
Sophomore Myrna Gillas (El Dorado High) qualified to compete in the high jump and long jump, while freshman Alicia Victoria (California High) will compete in the 400m hurdles.
Gillas took 3rd overall in the high jump with a leap of 1.55m at the Southern California Regional Championships. She landed 5.24m in the long jump for a 9th place finish to qualify.
Victoria placed 5th overall in the 400m hurdles with a time of 66.31.
The FC women's track & field team wrapped up the season at the SoCal Regionals last weekend placing 17th overall out of 23 teams.
