The #8 Hornets knocked off the 3-time state champions in #9 Los Angeles Pierce at home Tuesday night in the first round of the SoCal Regionals 3-2 (25-18, 20-25, 25-19 20-25, 15-11).
FC sophomore Madalene Barrett led the team in kills with 11, and then added 10 digs. Shawnna Chung played big hammering down 8 kills, with 5 aces, and 13 digs. Celeste Snider came up with 21 digs and 5 aces. Angelina Ruiz had 19 assists with 10 digs and Tiffany Cobian had 17 assists with 5 digs. Alyssa Jensen had 5 kills with 2 solo blocks and 2 assisted.
