WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: WINNING & MAKING ALL-OEC

The FC women's volleyball team played their final regular season game on the road Wednesday beating Golden West 3-0. Plus, the All-Orange Empire Conference team was announced with 3 Hornets getting the nod.

The Hornets needed the win over the Rustlers in order to land a playoff spot, and they did it winning in straight sets 25-16, 25-22, and 25-20. It was Fullerton's 4th straight win, and locks in them in fourth place overall in the OEC. FC is 8-2 in their last 10 games and looking to continue their winning ways with a spot in the postseason.

Leading the way in the victory was Amanda Henderson, who totaled a game-high 18 kills. She also added 10 digs and 3 blocks. Kailyn Case delivered 35 assists, 10 digs, and 4 aces. Carlie Ortega had 15 digs, while Lauren Schaefer and Andrea Lopez both had 7 kills apiece.

Earning first team honors was freshman outside hitter Amanda Henderson, who led the team in the team with 287 kills in the regular season. She ranks No.1 in the conference in kills per set at 4.28, and ranks 3rd overall in total kills. Henderson also amassed 159 digs and 33 blocks (13 solo).

Sophomores Kailyn Case and Carlie Ortega were second team selections.

Case, the team's setter, totaled 668 assists, 155 digs, 34 aces, and 25 blocks (8 solo). Case was also a second team All-OEC selection last season.
