WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: 5 STRAIGHT ROAD WINS

The FC women's volleyball team kept up their road-winning ways on Wednesday night sweeping Riverside City College in three sets.

Knocking down their 5th straight win on the road, Fullerton finds itself all alone in second place in the Orange Empire Conference with a record of 4-1. Irvine Valley, who is currently No. 1 in the state, sits in first with a 5-0 record.

After a struggle in the first game, the Hornets came out on top 25-21, however in game two Fullerton allowed the Tigers to jump on them grabbing a 9-point lead. In a deep hole, Fullerton fought hard to get back in it and pulled off a great 25-23 comeback win. With the momentum on their side, FC took advantage in game three claiming the match with a decisive 25-12 win. Samaria Longstreet (7 kills) and Riley Vallo (5 kills / 5 digs) also helped out in the win.

Fullerton's Saylor Frew had a game-high 13 kills with 6 digs, while Faith Webb brought down 10 kills with 12 digs. Priscilla Gutierrez had a team-high 14 digs, and Hannah Tobin scooped up 11. Chloe Johnson delivered 34 assists, had 7 digs, and 3 aces. 

Up Next: The Hornets (9-6 overall, 4-1 conference) will continue their road trip this Friday, October 11th when they travel to Saddleback College. Game time is at 6:00 pm.
