WOMEN'S WATER POLO: VENTURA TOURNAMENT

After losing six straight games, the Lady Hornets picked themselves back up winning three out of four games at the Ventura College Tournament over the weekend.

It's been a rough mid-season for the FC women's water polo team, but there is light at the end of the tunnel with this weekend's strong performance.

On Friday, Fullerton won both of their games beating Allan Hancock 13-4 and Miramar 11-7. Bianca Vera led the way for the Hornets scoring 11 goals on the day. Veronica Ramirez scored 5 and Annelise Hernandez put in 4 goals.

Saturday's games saw a split as Fullerton dropped the first game in a close 8-6 battle with Mt. San Antonio. In the final game of the tournament, FC took it to El Camino beating the Warriors 13-4. Once again, Vera was the day's goal leader scoring 5 total. Ramirez scored 4 goals, Cynthia Lujan scored 3, and Ashley Garcia 3, and Hernandez put in 2.

Up Next: Fullerton (9-11 overall, 2-2 conference) will play at Riverside City College on Wednesday, October 18th. Game time is at 4:00 pm.
