The FC women's water polo team will be one to watch this season as they played in their first tournament of the season at Saddleback and won it all.
The Lady Hornets whipped through the competition beating Grossmont 20-2, Palomar 21-4, Sierra 11-8, and San Diego Mesa 16-3.
Five freshmen led the way in goals scored during the four-day tournament in Briana Portales (13 goals), Jessica Contreras (12 goals), Abigail Nunez (9 goals), and Bryanna Santis (9 goals). Contreras also contributed 7 assists.
Freshmen Tarsis Ledezma and Alexandra Lopez also played some stellar defense as both accumulated 7 steals each in the tourney.
