WOMEN'S WATER POLO: TURNING HEADS AT THE CUESTA INVITE

The No. 2 Lady Hornets staked their claim to be the best in the state over the weekend defeating all four the colleges they faced at the Cuesta College Invitational.

It was not going to be a walk in the park for Fullerton as three out of four of their opponents are ranked in the top 10 by the CCCAA.

FC began the tournament on Friday playing No. 4 Long Beach City and American River knocking off the Vikings 14-8 and Beavers 10-4.

On Saturday, Fullerton had a bigger test facing No. 1 Riverside City and No. 3 Santa Barbara. The game against RCC was another dogfight, but FC prevailed 8-7 getting revenge against the only team to beat them this season. In the final game, the Hornets handed Santa Barbara their third loss on the season 10-8 winning the tournament title.
