WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: BRUBAKER INVITE
At the Brubaker Invitational in Irvine Park last Friday, the Lady Hornets competed well placing 10th overall.
Rebecca Perez continued to lead the pack for the ladies team with a time of 21:23. She finished in 28th place overall out of 97 runners. Twenty-three seconds later Raquel Aldama crossed the line with a time of 21:46. This was the first time these two ladies were close to one another in a race.
"Our goal this week was to work on grouping", Hornet Head Coach Gina Bevec.
Bryseda Lopez-Martinez and Ashley Lord were within one minute of each other and nine spots shared the distance between them. Kimberly Estrada-Rodriguez rounded the top five spot for the Hornets.
