WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: OEC CHAMPIONSHIPS

The women's team finished in sixth place with 134  points at the OEC Championships at Irvine Park hosted by Santiago Canyon College last Friday.

The women's team qualified for Southern California Regional Championships as an at-large berth team. This race will take place at Mission Bay Park in San Diego.

It was good packing for the ladies. Diana Vazquez (24:29) continues to run as our number one lady who crossed the line in 28th place overall. Teammate, Diana Muneton (24:43) came in behind her in 29th place. Poornima Somaiah (24:45) was out next lady in 30th place overall. Jordan Montgomery (26:21) crossed the line in 39th place and three spots later was teammate Lorena Tapia-Ceballos (28:55).

"The ladies know what they need to do is to run up in the top half of the race and keep running alongside one another to challenge themselves to have a race that will give them the chance to qualify for state", said Head Coach Gina Bevec.
