HORNETS ALL OVER TARTARS

HORNETS ALL OVER TARTARS: Fullerton College hosted ECC Compton on Tuesday beating the Tartars 11-6.

FC (8-4 overall) opened up the first inning with 6 runs and never looked back.

Starter Juan Berumen (1-0) earned his first win on the season going 5 innings allowing 1 earned run, 2 walks on 4 hits while striking out 6 batters.

Hornet RF Troy Mulcahey had a good day at the plate going 2-3 with 2 runs, and 3 RBIs.  When 1B Garrett Donohoe wasn't making great defensive plays, he was just as effective at the plate going 2-3 with 2 runs and 2 RBIs.  SS Dakota Wix had a hit, a run, and a RBI as did LF Uriel Salinas.  CF Ryan Joyce had a hit and scored a run.

Up Next: The Hornets will open up conference-play this Thursday, February 28th at home against Santa Ana College.  Game time is at 2:00 pm.
