HORNETS GET THEIR WINGS CLIPPED

HORNETS GET THEIR WINGS CLIPPED: The Fullerton College men's basketball team took one on the chin at Saddleback College Friday night 67-55 in an important Orange Empire Conference match-up.

The loss sets Fullerton's conference record back to 2-2 while Saddleback improves to 4-0.

The first half was close as it ended with the Gauchos up 25-24, but the second half was a different tale as Saddleback came out firing on all cylinders going on a 18-4 run. The Hornets did their best to catch up but the damage was done.

FC guard Jason Payne came off of the bench to lead the team in scoring with 12 points.  Forward Chris Lewis had 11 points with 6 rebounds while guard Rufus Jemison put in 9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.

Up Next: FC (10-9, 2-2) travels to Irvine Valley College on Wednesday, January 23rd. Tip off is at 7:30 pm.
