NOT ENOUGH IN THE TANK
NOT ENOUGH IN THE TANK: The Hornets fell short 75-72 at Riverside City College on Wednesday night.
The loss was FC's first in the Orange Empire Conference (2-1) while the Tigers now sit at 3-0 in the OEC.
Down 34-26 by the end of the first half, the Hornets kept the game relatively close in the second half tying up the game at 44 a piece with 13:24 left. The Gauchos went on to score 9 unanswered points and held the lead until the final buzzer.
FC's Julian Caldwell scored a game high 20 points, with 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Chris Lewis came off the bench to score 16 points (7-8 shooting) and brought down 7 rebounds. Tyler Payne scored 11 points while twin brother Jason Payne put up 10 points and 4 assists.
