A WIN FOR THE OEC OPENER: The Hornets traveled to Cypress College on Wednesday night for their first Orange Empire Conference game of the season and beat the Chargers 82-68.

FC held a slight 32-30 lead in the first half, but they came out firing in the second with four Hornets locking down a double-digit game.

Guard Tyler Payne and forward Chris Lewis both came off of the bench to lead the Hornets in scoring with 16 points.  Lewis also brought down 10 rebounds for a double-double.  Guard Jason Payne scored 15 points and forward Julian Caldwell put up 14 points.  Amin Sahwani scored 9 points with 6 rebounds.  Dakoda Allinson helped out with 8 rebounds.

Up Next:  The Hornets (9-7 overall, 1-0 conference) will host Santa Ana College this Friday, January 11th in the Hornets Nest.  Tip off is at 7:30 pm.
