MEN'S BASKETBALL: HORNETS GIVE WAY TO THE PIRATES

The Fullerton College men's basketball team lost a conference match-up to Orange Coast College 95-89 on Friday night in the Hornets Nest.

The loss brings Fullerton's record to 5-15 overall and 1-4 in the Orange Empire Conference.  The OCC win nets them an overall record of 7-15 and gives them their first win in the OEC (1-4).

Fullerton had their chances with a 35-29 point lead with 2:15 left in the first half but let it go by the end trailing 41-39.

The Hornets had another big lead with 10:58 left in the game, but left the door open for OCC to come back and eventually win the game.  

Joel Brokenbrough had a team-high 20 points for the Hornets along with 9 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists.  Dakota Allison scored 18 points (4-6/3 pointers) and Roger Hamel came off the bench to score 13 points. Amini Sahwani contributed 10 points.

Up Next: The Hornets (6-14, 2-3) will host Saddleback College on Wednesday, January 29th.  Tip off is at 5:30 pm.
