MEN'S BASKETBALL: BROKENBROUGH TO CAL STATE L.A.

FC basketball player Joel Brokenbrough signed with Cal State Los Angeles last week and will now play for a former FC head coach.

Brokenbrough will play for former Hornet Head Coach Dieter Horton. Horton began his coaching career at Fullerton where he remained for ten seasons (1997-2006) before leaving for Antelope Valley College and later USC as an assistant. He was named the California Coach of the Year after leading the Hornets to a 37-0 record and a state championship in 2006.

A gifted athlete, Joel led the Hornets in scoring with 19.7 points per game, 2.2 assists per game, and 7.5 rebounds per game. Joel was also selected 1st Team All-Orange Empire Conference.

"I'm very happy to see Joel play for the Golden Eagles. He will do very well under Coach Horton's system", Head Coach Andre Smith.
