MEN'S BASKETBALL: HOPE RIDES WITH WATKINS

Fullerton College forward Jordan Watkins will stay local after signing with Hope International University.

Watkins played in 25 games in two seasons for the Hornets. He averaged 2.2 points and 1.2 rebounds a game. Beset with injuries early in the season, Jordan managed to turn in some respectable stats. Against Santa Ana College, he scored 11 points (5-7) in 14 minutes and added 4 rebounds. At Irvine Valley College, Watkins went 4-4 scoring 8 points in 18 minutes and brought down 6 rebounds.

"Jordan was dealt a tough blow this year by injuries, but when healthy his impact was greatly felt. Jordan was a unanimous vote for team captain and his teammates rallied around him all year. His leadership through example was a staple of our program the past two years, and because of that he will be missed. I am thrilled for Jordan to be able to achieve his dream of earning a scholarship and being able to continue to play at one of the premier NAIA programs in the country", said Hornet Head Coach Perry Webster.

Congrats Jordan!
