After beating the #3 team in the state Santa Ana College 4-2 last Friday, the Hornets hosted their district rival Cypress College on Tuesday and out-shot the Chargers 3-2.
FC took the lead early on a goal by Manuel Juarez. Jose Montes De Oca followed up with the Hornet's second goal.
Fullerton led 2-1 by the end of the first half, but Cypress sophomore Shawn Hanson scored his second goal of the day to tie it up 2-2.
Alex Hernandez scored the final goal on the day giving the Hornets their third consecutive victory.
Goal Keeper Pierce Nieto had 3 saves with 1 goal allowed in 45 minutes of play. Esteban Moreno matched his teammate with 3 saves and 1 goal against in 45 minutes.
Up Next: The Hornets (8-3-1 overall, 3-1-1 conference) will travel to Orange Coast College this Friday, October 18th for another Orange Empire Conference showdown. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
