MEN'S SOCCER: IN SEARCH OF A TITLE

Fullerton managed a 2-1 road-win at Cypress College on Tuesday in an Orange Empire Conference match.

The Hornets have been playing very well lately winning their second straight conference contest as they moved up in the OEC standings to second place. Only a point (half game) back from Golden West, who is in first, FC will have the opportunity to win their second consecutive title when they play the Rustlers this Friday at Fullerton College.

FC took care of business at Cypress scoring the game's first goal in the 48th minute on a pretty shot by Pablo Lozano with the assist by way of Kevin Aragon.

Cypress tied the game up in the 54th minute when Gustavo Oleta snuck a shot into the back of the net.

The Hornets were not about to let the game end in a 1-1 tie, like the first time the two teams played back in October. Mike Calderon took over the reigns knocking in the game winner off of an assist by Lozano in the 62nd minute.

Fullerton goal keeper Andres Ramirez was solid in the box with a goal against and 5 saves in 90 minutes of play.

Up Next: The Hornets (10-6-4 overall, 6-3-2 conference) will play their last home game of the season (Sophomore Day) this Friday, November 15th against Golden West College (5-0-6) for the Orange Empire Conference title. Come on out and support your Hornets for this one!
