SWIM & DIVE: OEC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Both the men's and women's teams locked down 5th place at the Orange Empire Conference Championships held at Riverside City College this past weekend.
Abigal Kuan set a new FC school record in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 31.96. Kuan qualified for the CCCAA State Swimming Championships to be held May 8-10 at East Los Angeles College. In her two events (50 Breaststroke / 100 Breaststroke), she placed in the top 16 of the entrants.
Three of this year's Hornets were just short of making the cut in Priscilla Xian, Sarah Federman, and Adrian Harary. They were all in the top 20 of state times in their events.
Women's Highlights:
Abigail Kuan: 5th, 100 Breaststroke; 3rd, 50 Breaststroke; 11th, 100 Individual Medley
Sarah Federman: 7th, 500 Freestyle; 5th, 1650 Freestyle; 7th, 200 Individual Medley
Prisilla Xiong: 5th, 100 Backstroke; 6th, 50 Butterfly; 9th, 100 Individual Medley.
Men's Highlights:
Adrian Harary: 10th, 200 Individual Medley; 5th, 100 Breaststroke; 6th, 100 Breaststroke;
Kyle Graves: 16th, 50 freestyle; 10th, 400 Individual Medley; 12th, 200 Breaststroke.
