The Hornets battled it out at home Wednesday night against OEC rival Irvine Valley College and lost tough one 3-2.
All five of the games played were all close scrappy contests with the Lasers coming out on top in the final 15-13.
IVC took game one away from the Hornets 26-24 after they had rallied back. In game two Fullerton barely walked away with a 25-22 win, and game three had FC win 27-25 after tying it up at 25's. The Lasers controlled game four winning 25-18.
Manny Andrade was the night's kill leader for the Hornets with 20. He also had 6 digs and 2 solo blocks. Kyle Young had 11 kills, Javier Zavala had 6, and Jordan Von Borstel had 5. Von Borstel also had 5 solo blocks and 1 block assist. Dale Irvin chipped in with 46 assists, 8 aces, and 11 digs.
