MEN’S VOLLEYBALL: PLAYOFF BOUND

MEN’S VOLLEYBALL: PLAYOFF BOUND

Fullerton may have lost at home last Friday to Irvine Valley College 3-1, but they still made the post-season as the #5 seed.

In only their second season in existence, the Hornets qualified for the playoffs for the second consecutive year.

As is tradition, Fullerton hosted sophomore night on its last home game for Zach Huizar, Alex Serrano, Javier Zavala, Kyle Young, and Shawn Stolts. Each player has contributed to the team's success, and with their hard effort, Fullerton is now ranked #5 in SoCal Regional playoffs.

The road to the playoffs was not easy for the Hornets as they had to overcome several obstacles. Golden West was the first obstacle for the Hornets. FC was able to defeat the Rustlers both times they met this season, while they managed to split with Irvine Valley.

A new road block FC faces is #4 LA Pierce College on Friday, April 20th. On January 31, Fullerton played on the Brahmas court taking them in 5 sets. Now, both teams play each other again in a win or go home match.

Up Next: Fullerton was tabbed as the #5 seed in the regional playoffs and will play at #4 LA Pierce College on Thursday, April 20th. Game time is at 7:00 pm.
