MEN'S X COUNTRY: 5TH PLACE FINISH

The Hornets took fifth at the Orange Empire Conference Championships on Friday.

Fullerton began the day on the bubble for the post season, but Brandon Velasco and Alfredo Coria pulled off solid running times to advance to the SoCal Championships.

"The Hornet men continued their season [into the post season] due to the aggressive running of Brandon and Alfredo.  I was proud of their efforts today", Coach Wade Watkins.

Orange Coast College placed first to win the OEC.  Following the Pirates was Riverside City College in second place, Saddleback College in third pace, and Santa Ana College in fourth place.
