MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY: RUNNING IN STATE

FC sophomores Ian Rusk and Mauro Rosales ran very well at the CCCAA State Championship held at Woodward Park in Fresno on Saturday

Rusk took 56th out of 172 runners with his best finish of the season at 21:51. Ian has continued to run as FC's No. 1 man all season shaving off 20 seconds from last year's performance.

Mauro Rosales stayed in true fashion crossing the finish line two spots later only three seconds behind Rusk for a 58th place finish. Rosales' time of 21:54 was a 20-second improvement from last season's state run.

"These men ran as individuals for the Hornets as we had just missed the cut off making it as team in Southern California Regional Championships. I could not be more proud of the dedication and effort they poured in all season long", Head Coach Gina Bevec.

It was a great way to end the season as the team worked very hard the last three months. They capped it off with a positive effort at the biggest event of the season setting the tone for the upcoming Track and Field season.
