The Fullerton College softball team hosted district rival Cypress College Wednesday afternoon in an Orange Empire Conference match-up and fell in a tight one 3-0.
The Chargers scored their first run of the day on a Hornet throwing error in the top of the first. They would score again in the fourth on a single up the middle by Kathy Villa allowing Alejandra Guillen to cross home plate. In the fifth Mylee Macahilig reached on a Hornet fielding error by scoring Gabby Juarez.
Fullerton had their chances to score but left 5 runners on base.
FC starter Nicole Pratt took the loss throwing a solid game going 7 innings with 1 earned run and 3 strikeouts.
Up Next: FC (7-2, 0-1) will host Citrus College on Thursday, February 13th. Game time is at 3:00 pm. Then on Wednesday, February 19th the Hornets will host an Orange Empire Conference game against Santiago Canon College. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
