SOFTBALL: WINDY WIN

The Fullerton bats cut through the wind in the fifth inning overtaking Orange Coast College at home Wednesday 5-1.

The Pirates scored the first run of the game in the first inning as FC pitcher Nicole Pratt got herself out of a bases-loaded jam.

FC tied it up at one a piece in the bottom of the fourth inning when catcher Kaylenne McClure hit a triple left-center. 1B Alexandria Avila hit one deep to left field for a SAC Fly scoring McClure.

Fullerton took the game over in the fifth scoring four runs going through the entire lineup.

FC starter Pratt took the no-decision going three innings with 3 hits against, 4 walks, and 1 strikeout. RP Alyssa Felipe grabbed the win tossing four innings with 1 hit against, 3 walks, and 4 strikeouts.

Up Next: The Hornets (12-13, 4-9) will play in at the Santa Barbara City College tournament this weekend March 29-30.
