WOMEN'S GOLF: STATE RUNNER-UP
The Fullerton College women's golf team nearly won the state title on Tuesday falling just four strokes short to Santa Barbara City College.
The two-day championship event was held at the Tracy Country Club in Modesto where the Hornets trailed SBCC by ten strokes after day one (Monday). One Tuesday, the Hornets made a strong push for the title beating the Vaqueros by six strokes. Santa Barbara hung on to win their third title in the last eight years (9th all together).

Fullerton had an incredible 2013 season winning the Orange Empire Conference tournament for the first time since 2005, qualifying for the state tournament for the first time ever, and the winning the state runner-up as a team in head coach Debi Woelke's second season at the helm. Woelke was recently chosen as the 2013 All-Orange Empire Conferene "Coach of the Year"
