The Hornets tied 1-1 at Irvine Valley College Tuesday afternoon in the Orange Empire Conference opener.
Fullerton nearly scored within the first minutes of the game on two breakaways by Brianna Remedios.
Taylor Hobbs put FC up 1-0 in the 29th minute on a shot that went into the right top cornet of the goal. Remedios was credited with the assist.
Irvine Valley tied the game up in the 63rd minute when Emily Rodriguez took advantage of a Penalty Kick in the box.
Neither team was able to score again and the game ended 1-1.
Goalie Kayla Ippolito played 90 minutes with 1 goal against and had 3 saves.
Up Next: The Hornets (3-1-1 overall, 0-0-1 OEC) will host Orange Coast College this Friday, September 14th at 3:00 pm.
