On Friday, the second place Hornets took out Orange Empire Conference rival Santa Ana College on the road 2-1.
The win completes a season sweep over the Dons who also lost to the visiting Hornets 3-2 in September.
The first half came and went ending in a scoreless tie. Regina Sanchez-Molina put the Hornets ahead in the second half with an unassisted shot that went over the Don's goalkeeper in the 63rd minute.
Seven minutes later, Santa Ana answered back on a header by Briana Ceballos.
The game deciding goal came in the final minute when Alyssa Madrigal passed the ball over to Taylor Hobbs, who sent the ball into the top left corner.
FC goalie Savannah Dyer was strong in the box with 5 saves in 90 minutes.
Up Next: FC (10-3-2 overall, 7-2-2 OEC) will host district rival Cypress College on Tuesday, October 23rd at 3:00 pm.
