The FC women's soccer team took on a strong Mount San Antonio College squad for their home opener on Friday and beat the Mounties 2-1.
Regina Sanchez-Molina knocked in the first goal of the game in the 56th minute. The assist was by Morgan Dack.
FC went up 2-0 in the 69th minute when Victoria Arrieta fed the ball to Rocio Martinez-Marquez who kicked the ball into the back of the net.
The Mounties popped in a late score at the 85 minute mark on a shot by Hannah Grady, but FC held on for the remainder of the game grabbing their second win on the season.
Up Next: The Hornets (2-0 overall) will play at El Camino College on Friday, September 6th at 2:00 pm.
