In big Orange Empire Conference game on Friday, the Hornets visited Cypress College and tied 1-1 in a battle for the top spot in the Orange Empire Conference.
It was FC's second tie of the week as they ended last Tuesday's game 2-2 with top-ranked Santiago Canyon College. Cypress is in first at 4-0-2 and Santiago Canyon is in second at 4-1-1.
The Hornets took an early lead scoring the game's first goal in 26th minute when Regina Sanchez-Molina took a shot from 30 yards out placing it just out of reach of the goalkeeper's hands.
Cypress tied it just before the first half was up in the 38th minute on a free kick by Kelly Lopez that was set up by Hunter Richmond.
In the second half, Cypress and Fullerton had a few opportunities to score, but both teams had stubborn defenses preventing any more goals for the remainder of the game.
Up Next: FC (8-2-2 overall, 3-1-2 conference) will host Golden West College for another conference game on Tuesday, October 22nd at 3:00 pm.
