Garritson finished in the top 12 with a time of 42:47.17 and showed that the distance squad continues to show their prowess in distance running.

"It was a great race for the two sophomores to end up their season running together. I am so proud of their efforts" said Coach Gina Bevec.

On Saturday evening, Daisy Esparza stood at the line for her 5K event. Little did she anticipate she would break her school record and take third and giver herself another All-American Athlete title.

"I felt great after settling in with the first mile. I just kept running and meeting my split times" stated Esparza.

She ran 18:08.69 for third place and the new Hornet school record in the 5K.

The ladies put up 19 points and finished 15th out of 42 teams wraping up another stellar season.
