WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: HARD ROAD LOSS

The Hornets, ranked sixth in the state, took one on the chin on the road Wednesday night losing to No. 4 Irvine Valley College 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-23) in an Orange Empire Conference match-up.

Fullerton slipped to 11-2 overall and 4-2 in conference while the IVC win improved the Laser's record to 12-0 overall and 6-0 in conference.

Irvine Valley led by as many as 10 points in the opening set (22-12). Fullerton pulled to within 23-17, but the teams sided out after that and the Lasers closed out the set.

Madalene Barrett had a game-high 13 kills, along with 5 digs and 1 ace.  Celeste Snider had 23 digs and Alanna Hayhurst had 14 digs.  Kristen Santos delivered 16 assists.

Up Next:  The Hornets will hit the road again this Friday, October 25th at Santa Ana College.  Game time is at 7:00 pm.
